I know you should probably wear SPF everyday, but I’m so guilty of really only wearing it in the summer or when I’ll be directly in the sun. My excuse was that I never found a really great mineral SPF—one that blends seamlessly, is actually clean (no sneaky toxic ingredients), and wears well both alone and under makeup.
Now I really have no excuse because I’ve found some incredible ones that do all of the above. They each serve different purposes so there’s truly something for everyone—excited to share with you!
LESSE Every Tone SPF 30 ($68) — My overall favorite. It truly blends so seamlessly into the skin and has a light, serum-like texture that feels easy and light — just like skincare. There’s no added fragrance, but I love the subtle scent that the Australian superberries in the formula give it. They also help protect the skin against UV damage and soothe inflammation. I love how this formula wears just like skincare and leaves you with a glow.
Yuka rating: Excellent 93/100
Agent Nateur Holi (sun) SPF 50 Dewy Tinted Skin Drops ($58) — Love this one for when I want a bit more coverage — something like a skin tint — but with sun protection. Again, the texture is light and serum-like. It’s easy to apply and blends into the skin so well, while still offering a bit of coverage, which I love. I have it in the shade Almond.
Yuka rating: Good 55/100
True Botanicals Skin Barrier Sun Shield SPF 30 ($65)— This one is something in between the other two. The consistency is still light, but not as thin and it has a bit of a tint, but not as much coverage as the Agent Nateur one. This formula is for those days you want a little something in between coverage wise. The formula also includes Astaxanthin—a naturally occurring carotenoid found in algae hat helps protect skin from oxidative stress and damage which is especially important when you’re in the sun. It also reduces UV damage, and supports elasticity and neutralizes free radicals. Also love mixing this with the Bronze Well Regenerative Glow Drops—the glow is unreal.
Yuka rating: Excellent 93/100
Well People Daygleamer Mineral Sunscreen Serum SPF 34 ($26)— This SPF is light, thin, and truly feels like a serum. It blends in effortlessly and is the most affordable of all the ones I’ve tried. It leaves your skin looking dewy and hydrated.
Yuka rating: Good 65/100
And that’s all! Let me know if you end up trying any of these and how you like them.
